The Italian Job...Mafia Boys on Tour

This summer saw us take on our first (definitely not last) European trip with the cars.

Day 1: Mansfield - Folkestone - Geneva

Starting before the sunrise, we left in convoy to travel down to Dover. Crossing as the sun rose, we started en route to Geneva. Took in plenty of spectacular scenery and roads as we got well and truly stuck into Europe and headed to Geneva for the night.

Day 2: Geneva - Turin

Another early start along Great St Bernard's Pass, which saw us navigating some sharp turns, stopping for some authentic Italian pizza, and taking in some stunning scenery. Sean's was the first car to force a stop after hearing a noise from his brakes. We had a break to investigate, and Sean got to wear the pink forfeit dress. Sexy stuff. A great few hours driving took us tour next stop in Turin where we checked in for the night.

Day 3: Turin - Bern

Visited the Lingotto Museum to have a look at the roof top test track where The Italian Job was filmed. Managed to lose our cars in the car park, but after a short (20 minute) scout around, we were back in our driving seats and ready to go. After a short stop at the Gran Madre Church, we turned back through Italy and headed towards Switzerland. Clarky had wanted a turn at wearing the dress and luckily his rear numberplate took an unscheduled solo flight so he got to try it on for size. Back on the road, it was Bez's lucky day as he had a small heater matrix leak so he got to wrestle it from Clarky and style it out in the pink two piece. Day turned into night and we had an epic run on the Via Ronco to our destination for the night (getting complimented on our driving by locals en route).

Day 4: Bern - Luxembourg

It was a day off for the forfeit dress! We had uninterrupted driving apart from a stop to do some timed runs. We enjoyed some incredible steep hill driving before arriving at Luxembourg for the biggest burgers we've ever experienced.

Day 5: Luxembourg - Dartford - Mansfield

The last day saw us tired but buzzing. We took a detour to Brugge to stock up on chocolates (Sucking up? Us?) before heading back on the tunnel. Driving back along the M1, we were joined by a very left out Eggy, who coordinated with us for the last few junctions before we ended with celebratory cigars. Planning the next one already...
